Duke Blue Devils head coach Mike Krzyzewski is putting the full court press on top ranked point guard Tyus Jones, and it just might pay off this fall. He is the only point guard in the class the Blue Devils are currently recruiting, and they are hoping to score a huge victory with the Minnesota point guard’s commitment. He is a package recruiting deal with top ranked center Jahlil Okafor, so if the Blue Devils convince one of the duo then they might be in good position to contend for a title.
Shout out to Darren Wolfson for sharing his handshake meeting with Coach K below. It appears the Blue Devils ball coach attended an Apply Valley (MN) 8th grade football with Jones.
@DarrenWolfson I meet Coach K of Duke at my sons 8th grade football game against Apple Valley tonight. I shook his hand. He was with Tyus.

A Blue Devils assistant coach was visiting Reid Travis recently as well, who is Jones’ AAU teammate. It may not have been a total coincidence that Travis was offered a scholarship this fall, and the idea of playing with Jones and Okafor should certainly be appealing to Travis.
The Blue Devils host Jones on October 25th, so we should have another update sometime after that point. We should then expect a decision sometime in early November, which will be a thrill to some and devastating to others.
