Jahlil Okafor and Tyus Jones Package Deal Going Down, Jones “Not Worried About Rumors”
Point guard Tyus Jones shook things up this week when he cancelled his Kentucky Wildcats visit, thus ending any chance he could end up in Lexington.
The extra bad news for the Wildcats?
Jones is a package recruiting deal with top ranked center Jahlil Okafor and it appears to be going down for sure. My man Jason Jordan over at USA TODAY tweeted this out recently that Jones was “not worried about rumors”.
Asked Tyus Jones to update the status of he & Jahlil Okafor's package deal: "Def still on. Def not worried about rumors. We know the plan."

So it looks like it is down to Kansas, Baylor, and Duke which is not a bad list of schools for basketball if you ask me. Jones and Okafor have earned this opportunity and they will be a thrill to follow no matter where they ultimately end up.
Their next visit is to Lawrence, and then they close things out on October 25th to Durham, which should prove to be a busy weekend to be sure.
Jones has said in the past he would like to make his decision by November, so it seems to be an all-in fix for the Blue Devils.
Bill Self has been making waves down in Lawrence the last few year, and if he can land the top ranked player in the class two years in a row it would be a game changer for the Jayhawks.
