Tyus Jones appears to be down to three schools. He recently cancelled his visit to the Kentucky Wildcats, so they are likely out of the running. The Baylor Bears, Duke Blue Devils, and Kansas Jayhawks remain in the running for what could be a transformational recruiting class.
His next visit, after the recent news of the Lexington cancellation, will to the Jayhawks with top ranked center and package recruiting deal partner Jahlil Okafor. Jason Jordan of USA TODAY recently got an update from Jones as well, and tweeted it out for us all.
Tyus Jones tells me: "My next visit will be to Kansas on Oct. 18." #ThatSettlesThat

They made their visit to Baylor over the summer, and it appeared to go well but they are the furthest away in my opinion. Love the steps that program has taken in the last few years, but they are just a step away form one of these elite guys in my opinion. I’d put the Jayhawks in second place at the moment with the Blue Devils in “the driver’s seat” in the words of Jordan.
You can bet Rant Sports Prep will keep you posted if there are any updates about this Kansas visit, and do not count out head coach Bill Self just yet. He has been making recruiting magic happen lately, and if his good luck continues it would be absolutely huge for the Jayhawks program.
