Tyus Jones Says He Cancelled Kentucky Wildcats Visit “Because They Got a Point Guard”
Top ranked point guard Tyus Jones was not hiding at all when he cancelled his Kentucky Wildcats visit, and he recently came out with the reason why. “I canceeled my visit because they got a point guard” Jones said.
He is referring of course to point guard Tyley Ulis’ recent commitment to the Wildcats. Ulis is quite skilled as well, but because of size problems it would not make a lot of sense for Ulis and Jones to be in the same starting lineup. It would just be a little bit redundant. Remember Ulis’ father telling the press that it could happen, but he did not see his son and Jones playing on the same team.
Shout out to Dan Bodner for tweeting this below, and wonder if head coach John Calipari is taking this personal right now. Sure he is not, because he has an exceptional recruiting class to look forward to this year.

There will definitely be championship expectations in Lexington though, but we will not being seeing the package duo land there. Big Blue Nation will not be pleased to hear that but that is how it goes.
Stay tuned later today for a piece on Jahlil Okafor trimming his recruiting list as well. We should get a decision from this package recruiting deal by early November, and until then keep on keeping on.
