Duke Blue Devils Jabari Parker Flying Under Radar After Andrew Wiggins SI Cover
I wonder what on earth is going through Jabari Parker’s head right now. Andrew Wiggins recently premiered his SI cover that is very “chosen one”-ish, and Parker must be thinking back to his junior season when SI hailed him as the best high school player since LeBron James.
Shout out to the tweet below for pointing out how Parker did get there first when it came to the SI-race between him and Wiggins.
Wiggins may be on the cover of SI before one game at Kansas, but I remember Jabari Parker was on the cover while he was still a Junior in HS

Winning Gatorade high school athlete of the year tends to do wonders for your profile though, and it was not a surprise to me to see Wiggins on the cover. He has worked hard for this, but that does not change the fact that we will all enjoy the rivalry that is sure to develop between him and Parker. They have been cordial so far, and got to know each other a bit for the Slam Magazine photo shoot.
But just wait until one these two take something from the other. Then we will see their true competitive nature, and something tells me they are going to be butting heads for years. Their first encounter in college comes this November, and you can bet I will tune in and fill you all in on how it goes.
