Andrew Wiggins Compared to Wilt Chamberlain and Danny Manning in SI Cover Story
Head coach Bill Self went there. The head coach of the Kansas Jayhawks believes that Andrew Wiggins will be bigger in Lawrence than Danny Manning ever was, and that he might even be in the Wilt Chamberlain stratosphere. The latest Sports Illustrated article goes there as well, and thanks to the tweet below for bringing up the comparison.

Wiggins enters his freshman season after a high school career full of wins and windmill dunks. He was chosen as Gatorade’s high school athlete of the year, which only bodes well for his future. Taking a look at that list of athletes is impressive indeed
His college career remains unwritten, but it is going be hell-a fun to watch, and yes I know I hate myself for writing hell-a just not but that is the emotion of the moment. We have not seen this level of talent in college basketball since 2003, so naturally the basketball watching world is excited.
Wiggins is on the preseason Big 12 All Conference team, and it is my expectation that he might just bring home Big 12 player of the year.
It will all play out on television folks, and you can bet I will be tuning in for every game possible to catch this season. With which each passing day gets just a little bit closer.
