Top Ranked Point Guard Tyus Jones Says Doesn’t Pay Rumors About Package Deal “Any Attention”

Geoff Burke- USA TODAY Sports

Tyus Jones, the top ranked point guard in the 2014 college basketball recruiting class, is about set to begin his senior season of high school basketball, and shortly before that time he will make a decision on his recruitment. He is a package recruiting deal with top ranked center Jahlil Okafor, and their decison should come by early November.

Also, saw the tweet below from Adam Rowe and apparently Jones and Okafor “don’t pay the rumors, frankly, any attention”, which is quite wise on their part. You can read the piece below, although it is a pay piece unfortunately which always bugs me.

They certainly seem completely honed in on going to school together, and at this point it would be a shock if it did not go down.

These two young men deserve whatever success they get, because they have put the work in. Their two high school teams meet in December, which should be a game full of playful trash talk as well as quite a bit of competitive play. That game will be aired on ESPN, but still considering driving out to Minnesota for that one because it is going to be epic.

Done putting my own work in for the day here at Prep, but check back in with us tomorrow mother-truckers and Rant Sports Prep will hit you with the straight truth. Basketball never stops.
