Tyus Jones is the top ranked point guard in the 2014 college basketball recruiting class as it currently stands according to most outlets. He also impressed many including Rivals Scout Eric Bossi at Team USA’s developmental camp; Bossi called Jones “a skilled playmaker”, and believe Reggie Rankin called Jones’ decision making “a thing of beauty” at the same USA developmental camp.

Have yet to see Jones play live, but hoping to see him a couple times this year. He is about set to tip off his senior season of basketball, but there is some recruiting business to take care of before all that. His next visit is to the Kansas Jayhawks and then things close out with the Duke Blue Devils on October 25th.
He is making both visits with top ranked center Jahlil Okafor, who as we all know is a package recruiting deal with the young Apple Valley point. They have both said they will make their decision in November in what will likely be a joint press conference if their past actions are any indication.
One thing is absolute, Jones skilled playmaking will be brought to bear even more next season, and I anticipate him having a year worthy of a national player of the year. That is if his buddy Okafor does not step firmly in the way.
