Top ranked point guard in the 2014 college basktball recruiting class, Tyus Jones visited the Baylor Bears over the summer and he blogged about it on USA TODAY. He also did an interview with Eric Bossi where the young Apple Valley (MN) point said that the Bears “make you feel right at home”. Always enjoy Bossi’s work, and if you subscribe to Rivals then you can check it out below.

The only question? Was he talking about the Bears organization or the actual live bears that Jones fed while on the visit? The program also made sure that a custom van picked up Jones and his recruiting partner Jahlil Okafor. Okafor just happens to be the top ranked player in the class so naturally attention follows wherever he happens to go. So you know that they were going to pull out all the stops there in Waco. The custom van was definitely a nice touch, and they certainly are creative thinkers down in Texas.

The best package recruiting deal in NCAA history have two more two visits to make, and then they will have a couple weeks to mull things over. The Bears have already had their say, but they seem to have made quite an impression. Just getting on to this duo’s list is huge for their program, but we will see in early November if they can close this thing out in dramatic fashion.
