Kansas Jayhawks Coach Bill Self Says “There Should Be Hype” About Andrew Wiggins

Andrew Wiggins High School Basketball: McDonald's All American Games

Point guard Marcus Smart recently made some comments about Andrew Wiggins, that indicated the point guard wants to see some results on the court as opposed to all this hype. Smart even claimed he wanted to guard Wiggins in the game when they play, which would seems a major matchup problem in my eye. We will have to see though. Really like Smart’s feistiness, but it may come back to bite him.

All are entitled to their opinion, but forgive Kansas Jayhawks head coach Bill Self if he does not totally agree. He recently said that “expectations should be high, there should be hype.”

You know when a coach is heaping hype onto his own team that he is not afraid of the expectations, and thanks to KUHoops for the tweet below.

Self has even said this is the most athletic team he has coached so cannot wait to see them in action.

Had some good fortune today, and will be watching Wiggins face off against Jabari Parker on November 12th, so be sure to keep an eye out for that one. It will be on the college basketball section of the site, but you can be sure that I will tweet it so be sure to follow for coverage of that game.
