Andrew Wiggins Calls Comparisons to LeBron James Unfair
Andrew Wiggins’ life is not fair, but life is not fair.
I understand his pain. It is not going to be easy to be a superstar athlete in the social media world we live in.
Every step Wiggins takes is examined under a microscope, and he recently called the LeBron James’ comparisons to be unfair.
— SLAM Magazine (@SLAMonline) October 23, 2013
They are absolutely not fair, but when you have the capability of jumping out of the gym there are only a certain number of people we can compare you to.
Kevin Durant was the last player to put up video game numbers in the Big 12, and that is what I’m expecting from Wiggins. He is tempering expectations for himself at the moment though
‘I’ve got a long way to go before I can be compared to LeBron (James) and Durant,’ Wiggins said to Slame. ‘Those are the best players in the world right now and I’m still in college. So I think it’s really unfair to compare me to someone of that caliber. Hopefully one day I can be compared to them, but I think I still have a long way to go before I can be.’”
We all look forward to seeing the player he will become, and the first step will come on November 12th. I will be at the game, so you know you’ve got to check back in with Rant Sports.
