Point Guard Tyus Jones Down to Kansas Jayhawks and Duke Blue Devils
Well folks, we are getting down to the wire on the recruitment of top ranked point guard in the 2014 college basketball recruiting class, Tyus Jones. The point guard out of Minnesota is a package recruiting deal with top ranked center in the class Jahlil Okafor. It is widely believed wherever they choose to commit will become a championship contender next season. It has been a joy to cover their recruitment and still considering making it out for their matchup in December, which should be a barn burner. It is in Minnesota so that might make it a bit too difficult logistically to cover it, but promise my readers that I will look into it.
The pair will both be in the running for the national player of the year awards, and if Okafor wins it might even get a chance to attend the media session after one of the awards are announced.
It appears, too, that Jones is down to two schools on his list and thanks to ScoutsFocus for the tweet below.
Sources tell us that Kansas leads in the Tyus Jones/Okafor recruitment even after the Duke visit this weekend.

They have said for some time they would make a decision by early November, Bill Self payed a visit to Okafor yesterday, and it is now late October. You can do the math folks, we are nearly there and if we do not see any developments over the weekend, it could be early next week.
Happy Halloween folks; hope you all have a kicking party to go to, and for all you Chicago peeps out there, stay safe tonight.
