Well folks for those of you who have been reading for some time, it has finally happened. Tyus Jones and Jahlil Okafor committed to the Duke Blue Devils from their respective high schools. You could even watch live-stream of the decision on ESPNU although unfortunately was out of the house at the time.
The Blue Devils have long been the favorite and so it should come as no surprise; this makes the Blue Devils national champion contenders for the next two years and they will almost certainly be next year’s preseason number one.
I'm more focused on Jahlil Okafor and Tyus Jones decision today than I am on work. Is that bad? #dukebasketballrecruiting

Okafor was at the Champions Classic on Tuesday (was lucky enough to be there myself), and you can bet that the Whitney Young center liked what he saw from Jabari Parker. It remains to be seen whether Parker will stay in school, but don’t you think the prospect of making a run at a national championship with a former AAU teammate would appeal to the former Simeon forward?
I believe Parker’s four state titles say a resounding yes, and it seems that the relationship between the forward and Coach K is coming along quite nicely.
Anyways Jones is a pretty fantastic addition to the Blue Devils as well, and the prospect of those three stars in one starting five is a little bit mind boggling to me. Maybe by tomorrow I’ll have picked my tongue off the ground folks, and thanks for reading.
