Apple Valley point guard Tyus Jones and Whitney Young center Jahlil Okafor share a special bond not only in basketball, but just in life as well. That was why they enacted the plan to go to college together, and they let the world know they would next year join the Duke Blue Devils on Friday.
“That’s like my brother. We’re great friends. That’s the main reason why we want to do this,” Jones told Sporting News during the summer. “Set aside from how well we play on the court is how well we have a bond off the court. That’s why we want to do something special.”
The bro-mance between these two is quite adorable got to say. These two are in for something special, and who knows they could even be joining the defending champs if things shake out well for Rodney Hood and Jabari Parker this year. For that though, we will just have to wait and see.
Saw the tweet below from Gary Parrish of CBS, and he believes the Blue Devils will be the preseason number one in 2014.
Blue Devils are preseason No. 1 in 14-15, I'd assume. RT @EyeOnCBB: Jahlil Okafor and Tyus Jones announce they will attend Duke next season.

Got to agree with Parrish on this one, and they will be quite a fun team to watch regardless of where Parker is playing basketball next season. Keep an eye on your televisions on December 12th too, because believe that is the night Jones and Okafor’s high school teams duke it out (no pun intended), in what should be a fun and competitive battle.
