Tyus Jones recently committed to the Duke Blue Devils, and the main reason was because of legendary coach Mike Krzyzewski.
“He’s coached for many years” Jones said to the Duke Chronicle. “And he’s arguably one of the greatest of all time. He’s a great basketball mind and I feel like I’ll be able to learn a tremendous amount under him.”
Jones was a package recruiting deal with the top ranked player in the class Jahlil Okafor and they will almost certainly be the preseason number one in 2014. Thanks to the tweet below for the update.

Okafor was sold by the academics of the program as well, which came as a bit of a surprise to me.
“They are selling Duke as a program besides baskeball,” he said to the Chronicle. “You know the academics and how many great people are there outside of basketball. I might be rooming with like a billionaire that will make way more money than I ever will playing basketball. Things like that.”
Be sure to keep an eye out for a piece on small forward Justise Winslow later tonight and if you missed my coverage of the Champions Classic last week be sure to check it out on twitter. Thanks for reading folks.
