The Arizona Wildcats picked up a commitment recently from Stanley Johnson, who is a top 10 player in the 2014 college basketball recruiting class according to ESPN.
This was huge for Sean Miller, who has been doing an amazing job as his work with Aaron Gordon clearly shows. Whether this will end up resulting in more wins for the Wildcats remains to be seen, but something tells me Johnson will be fantastic in his time in Arizona.
Thanks to the tweet below from Dickie V, who called the games recently at the Champions Classic. Did not get a chance to see him at the event, but it is simply an honor for me to be able to say was in the same building.
Sean Miller certainly has Arizona back to the days of Lute Olson – just gets great news with Stanley Johnson saying yes .

Gordon has been fantastic in the early going for the Wildcats and he could be the early favorite for Pac 12 freshman of the year, so that is definitely something to keep an eye on as the season progresses. Johnson still has a year of high school basketball left though, and he will most likely not get to play with his former high school teammate Gordon at the college level.
Thanks for reading folks and keep an eye out later today for a piece on small forward Justise Winslow who recently made a big time recruiting decision.
