So you probably knew that Whitney Young center Jahlil Okafor was a great basketball player, but did you know that he was cultured as well? He recently attended his school’s play and even gave a shout-out to one of the actors below.

Not a lot of my readers probably know this, but I attended a theatre conservatory for school so this news struck near to my heart. It was definitely a bizarre college experience (also did a major in creative writing), but would not trade it for anything because it gave me most of the tools I use daily. Pretty strange times though.

Okafor apparently went to the play shortly after (probably jokingly) asking his fans if anyone wanted to go see “Catching Fire”.

Wonder if Okafor will end up seeing Catching Fire this weekend. Have not seen those movies, because want to read the books first but guess that is just me. Have to admit am super excited for Part 2 of the Hobbit movie to come out over Christmas and that will likely be one that I try to enjoy with my family back in Virginia. The Holidays are upon us folks, and we should be making some fun turkey references in the next week in honor of old Anglo-Americans killing and stealing the land of the somewhat peaceful natives that our ancestors forcibly stole this country from. We dropping bombs this week, yo.

Thanks for reading folks, and stay tuned later for a piece on why small forward Justise Winslow will be the ultimate glue guy for the Blue Devils next season.
