The Arizona Wildcats have had one of their best recruiting months in years, and one of the best parts happened when small forward Stanley Johnson committed to the program This must have delighted head coach Sean Miller, who deserves a lot of credit for his recruiting track record at Mater Dei. The coach likes like he has seen from Johnson though, and the Wildcats could have a special squad next season.
“I haven’t seen many players with Stanley’s combination of skill level and physical attributes,” Miller said in a recent statement. “His physicality and athleticism speak for themselves, but you very seldom see that type of player really know how to play the game, be that smart and that skilled of a player. It’s that combination of skill and intelligence matched with that physicality that makes him an exceptional talent.”
The Wildcats have an exceptional talent playing for them right now in Aaron Gordon, who has been compared athletically to power forward Blake Griffin. The forward should be a top ten pick in next summer’s draft if he decides to leave, which the rumor mill says will probably happen. Fortunately they have a capable talent in Johnson coming in to replace the talent well for coach Miller. In my opinion, this will lead to the Wildcats winning the Pac 12 next season.
