Apple Valley point guard Tyus Jones has had a pretty good fall. He committed to an elite basketball program and has spend the dying leaf months torching defenders in scrimmages and games all over the country.
He also recently tweeted his intention to repeat as a national champion in Minnesota this season.
Season opener @ Edina tomorrow, 7 pm. Be there. Road to repeat…

How did he do in the season opener? How does a triple-double with four steal sound to you? Pretty good if you ask me, and almost wish I lived in Minnesota so could have caught that one.
Jones is a package recruiting deal with the top ranked player in the class according to most outlets, Jahlil Okafor. They have been a package recruiting deal for some time, which is something they came up with after playing together internationally. Most scouts believe that they will make the Duke Blue Devils the preseason number one in the 2014 season, and have to agree with them there.
Next up for Jones and Okafor though is a game between their two high schools in December, which will be aired on ESPN2 and you should be sure to DVR the game. It will be an intense battle between two quality teams, and also Jones and Okafor have a history of jawing at each other during AAU games so we will have to see if there is any carryover.
