Point guard Tyus Jones recently led his Apple Valley team to victory in their home opener with an impressive 38 point effort. The young floor general is not taking all the credit though, and he knows throughout the year he will get his opponents’ best effort. Much thanks to Jones for tweeting this below, which really shows what a team player that he is.
Good team win. Gotta keep improving and getting ready for every teams best game

He is a player who is wise beyond his years and any young ballers out there could benefit by looking at the way Jones goes after his goals in an incredibly focused way. It is really inspiring to be totally honest.
The point guard recently committed to the Duke Blue Devils along with the top ranked player in the country, Jahlil Okafor. The two met in third grade, which is pretty adorable and they should have fantastic court chemistry for the Blue Devils next season that will start to pay off right away.
Okafor recently attended a film screening and you might be surprised about what pro ball player was also in attendance. Stay tuned later for that.
Jones has his sights set on a second state title before his college career begins. Interestingly enough Jones and Okafor’s teams face off on December 12th in a game that will air on ESPN2.
