When Theo Pinson committed to the UNC Tar Heels it was one of the few truly good things to happen to the program for some time. Pinson’s skill set will give head coach Roy Williams quite a lot of flexibility defensively, and he will most likely see immediate playing time.
Paul Biancardi calls Pinson “Mr. Veratility” in the tweet below, and follow him on twitter for sure if you do not already.

Biancardi called the games at NHSI last April, and he is the epitome of a professional. Hoping he calls the games again this season.
Do not know yet whether Pinson will start or come off the bench, but you can bet that he will be playing more minutes by the end of the year than he is at the beginning. It has been a rough-go so far for the Heels, and do not anticipate it getting any easier once they enter ACC play. They have not landed a recruiting stud in some time, and that might be what they really need to get over the time. In the meantime, we will have to see if Pinson’s versatility is enough to get them over the top.
That is all for Rant Sports Prep today, but thanks for reading and stay tuned for pro basketball previews coming tomorrow morning.
