Tyus Jones High School Basketball: Nike Global Challenge

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Point guard Tyus Jones has one thing that his future college teammate Jahlil Okafor does not have yet, and that is a state tile. The future Duke Blue Devil Jones has looked strong in the early season, and fully expect him to bring home state again this season barring any injury that occurs.

His scoring and distributing has been impressive so far, and the news also dropped recently that small forward Justise Winslow will be joining Jones and Okafor in Durham. That will give their roster so much flexibility, and it will be interesting to see how much of their bench that they actually use.

There is a pretty nice breakdown of Jones’ play in October below, which you can check out. There is a full about ten minute highlight reel at the bottom if you are more interested in the video portion of the content.

Okafor and Jones play against each other on December 12th in a game which will air on ESPN2; you can bet I will DVR that one and apologies to my readers that I could not make it out to Minnesota. A full breakdown of the game will follow the action though, of that you can be absolutely sure.

Thanks for reading and be sure to check out a piece on Okafor later tonight.

Watch HS Hoops Coach Headbutt Referee

There is absolutely no excuse for this to happen ever. During an argument about a call, Neshaminy (Pa.) high school basketball coach Jerry Devine decided it would be a good idea to headbutt the referee to prove his point. Devine was then ejected from the gym and could now face criminal charges for his actions as well as losing his teaching and coaching job.
