Duke Blue Devils Commits Tyus Jones and Jahlil Okafor Face Off This Thursday

Geoff Burke- USA TODAY Sports

At long last we are here! Top five ranked ESPN players Tyus Jones and Jahlil Okafor, the two prized Duke Blue Devil commits, face off against each other on ESPN2 and my DVR has been set for about a month. Thanks to the tweet below for the time on that game and it should be awesomely fun to watch the two future teammates jaw at each other and equally fun to see who comes out on top.

Expecting Okafor to come out on top here just because he will be playing angry after losing in the season opener. As for if they will both play with Jabari Parker next season? Okafor had an update recently on his blog and you might be interested in what he had to write.

“I don’t know who all is staying,” Okafor wrote on his USA TODAY blog. “But I know we’re gonna have a really strong team. I would love for Jabari (Parker) to stay. We’re both from Chicago and we’re really good friends so to be able to team up with him on that level would be so big.”

It definitely would be big, and if that potential lineup stayed healthy then they would most likely win a national title. That is all in the future though and we will tackle it at a later time.

Keep an eye out for a piece on Daniel Hamilton later today who had some swagger working for him, and he will be balling in Division One all too soon.
