Jabari Parker Did Not Push Jahlil Okafor to Commit to Duke Blue Devils
Jahlil Okafor recently revealed in his USA TODAY Sports blog that Jabari Parker did not try and push the talented center into committing to the Duke Blue Devils.
“I don’t know who all is staying, but I know we’re gonna have a really strong team,” Okafor wrote. “I would love for Jabari to stay. We’re both from Chicago and we’re really good friends so to be able to team up with him on that level would be so big. He respected me so much throughout my whole recruitment and he never once said “Come to Duke.” He always said to do what was best for me and whatever makes me happy. That’s how I feel about his decision at the end of the season. I want him to do what’s right for him and what makes him happy.”

Keep an eye out for a piece on Tyus Jones later tonight, and then pro basketball previews in the morning. And in the meantime? We will just have to wait to see if Parker and Okafor will play with each other again one day.
