Center Jahlil Okafor recently committed to the Duke Blue Devils, and though he will not pressure his friend the center would love to play with Jabari Parker at the college level.

“I don’t know who all is staying,” Okafor wrote on his USA TODAY Sports blog. “But I know we’re gonna have a really strong team. I would love for Jabari (Parker) to stay. We’re both from Chicago and we’re really good friends so to be able to team up with him on that level would be so big.”

Okafor is not likely to get to play with Parker, but Blue Devil fans out there are permitted to day dream about it until the possibility is no longer out there. The Whitney Young (IL) center tweeted out to his fans to show up to the game tonight and actually currently getting prepped to watch it on my DVR.

Be sure to stop by tomorrow for a recap piece on Okafor’s game tonight, which should be a real thriller against top five ranked point guard and future teammate Tyus Jones and believe Paul Biancardi is calling the game if the pictures on his twitter feed are any indication at all. Jones and Okafor will probably be jawing at each other to start the game, and then expect things to get a bit more serious towards the end when the result is up in the air.

One more piece coming today, and then also be sure to check out my previews tomorrow morning.
