Came across the piece below about Jahlil Okafor and it sums up quite nicely why scouts everywhere are so excited about the young center who just turned eighteen.

In it I noticed that the Whitney Young (IL) center has the goal of being one of the best big men in pro basketball.
“That’s my goal,” Okafor told HOOPSWORLD.”I want to be the premier big man in the league and be extremely dominant on the offensive end and on the defensive end. That’s something that I’m doing right now. Hopefully I’ll be able to continue that in college and, if I’m fortunate enough, in the NBA.”
Watched Okafor quite closely in his match on Thursday, and even watched the game a second time since was lucky enough to record it on DVR. He showed skill with both hands, un-guardable strength as well as an incredible sense of when to keep the ball and when to dish it. Nothing will keep Emeka Okafor’s little cousin out of the league long, and it is pretty just a matter of how long the young man (can call him that now) wants to stay in school.
Keep an eye out for a piece on Stanley Johnson and why he has been balling this season, and thanks as always for reading.
