Knew that small forward Stanley Johnson had an excellent weekend, so the news that he was named the Most Outstanding Player at Hoop Hall West did not come as a surprise. However, did just notice it on twitter and wanted to let you all know so shout out to Stan Man.

His windmill has been making the rounds on twitter as well just in case you missed out on that, but the main thing is that his team is winning games which is the ultimate goal for the small forward.

“I could have zero points and zero assists, as long as we win,” Johnson said after Saturday’s win to AZ Central Sports. “I’m playing point guard now. It’s a little different for me, but I want to guys get their shots off.”

Playing point showed Johnson’s versatility, and Sean Miller will be happy to have the forward on board next season.

Arizona Wildcats fans will have a lot to cheer about next season, and Johnson seems to be on a collision course for his fourth state title. That is Jabari Parker status right there and nothing at all to sneeze at. Will definitely keep track of Johnson’s progress in that respect and will also be rooting for him here at Rant Sports Prep.

That is all for Prep today, but fortune cookie wisdom just for you as always.
