Duke Blue Devils Commit Jahlil Okafor Says “We Did Not Play Well At All” After Close Win
Jahlil Okafor has been balling to start the year although Whitney Young (IL) did lose their season opener, but have followed that up with some wins even if they were close. Okafor was not pleased with the latest effort though, and made it known after the game.
“We did not play well today at all,” Okafor said to the Chicago Sun Times via High School Cube. “We were playing like we wanted the game to be over before it started. As a captain and team leader that is part of my responsibility. We have to stay focused and keep our composure no matter who we’re playing.”
Okafor led the Dolphins with 19 points, while also notching ten rebounds and four blocks in impressive fashion. Have been amazed when Okafor believes he has not played well, because have yet to see that happen. Thanks to Michael O’Brien for the tweet below.

Okafor seems to be on a collision course for a state title this season, and would probably say that Cliff Alexander is the main threat that stands in the young center’s way. You can bet that if the two meet up in the state playoffs that it will be a heated battle that will feature a lot of build up here at Prep.
They are the two best players in the state right now, so ultimately it will probably come down to those two in the end.
