The great Adam Zagoria hit us with one of his latest and greatest hits recently when he shared the piece about guard Quinn Cook being ready to share the back court with incoming recruit Tyus Jones. Much thanks to Adam, and if you missed his piece be sure to check it out below.

Cook certainly has seen Jones play and knows that the Duke Blue Devils are getting a special player next year.

“He’s a hell of a player, man, all the freshman coming in [are] but we know we got business to handle this year,” Cook said to SNY.tv after the Blue Devils latest win. It was a resounding victory in which Jabari Parker showed off his full arsenal, and Carmelo Anthony even complimented the young forward’s mid-range game recently. Parker is not likely to ever play with next year’s squad, but you never know what could happen.

Cook, though, would be open to sharing the backcourt with Jones if that is what the powers that be decide is the best lineup.

He was impressive in the win at Madison Square Garden with 14 points, eight steals and five assists. If Cook stays for his senior year it will be intriguing to see whether the Blue Devils coaching staff keeps a small lineup on the floor or decides to go with a larger group. Something to keep an eye on for sure, and we will do so here at Rant Sport Prep.
