Emmanuel Mudiay shocked a lot of folks when he committed to the SMU Mustangs, but loved his decision here at Rant Sports Prep. The young man gets to stay pretty near home from college, and study under one of the most legendary and respected basketball coaches in history, Larry Brown. Know a lot of people were underestimating Brown coming back to coach at the college level, but hope the commitment of a top ten player like Mudiay will silence a lot of those critics.
Mudiay was apparently playing quite well at the Tarkanian Classic recently, which found out thanks to Eric Bossi.
Emmanuel Mudiay is running a point guard clinic early on. Making every correct decision and simplifying the game. #tarkclassic

Brown will certainly welcome Mudiay with open arms once his high school career is over, but in the meantime we have some basketball left to play.
If Mudiay can continue to simplify the game, then Prime Prep (TX) could be on a crash course to the National High School Invitational again. It would take a supreme effort from Mudiay for them to win, but it is also not outside of the point guard’s capability. Just remembering the look in Mudiay’s eye after last year’s semi-final makes me think that Prep will find a way back to that tournament.
That is all for Rant Sports Prep, but as always will leave you with a bit of fortune cookie wisdom.
