Duke Blue Devils Commit Tyus Jones Drops 30 Again as Apple Valley Beats Kennedy
Feel like keep repeating myself with this, but Tyus Jones dropped 30 points last night for Apple Valley (MN) and the smoothness of his game cannot really be denied at this point. He will make the Duke Blue Devils coaching staff quite at ease next season especially because of the threat that Jahlil Okafor will be on the low block. Much thanks to the tweet below for the alert to this, and it seems Apple Valley is rebounding nicely after a tough loss to Okafor a little over a week ago.

The Blue Devils will be the preseason number one ranked team in 2014, and Quinn Cook even expressed recently that he was looking forward to playing with all the “freshman”.
For Apple Valley though, they seem to be on their way to a consecutive state title and even predicted here recently that Jones would win Mr. Basketball in the state of Minnesota for bringing national attention to the basketball played there. They are definitely my favorite right now to win state, but it will definitely be something that will keep an eye on as the season goes on. It will also not surprise me if Jones were to score 30 in several more games this season, and we might even see him hit 40 at one point if the stars align in the right way for him.
Three more Prep pieces coming your way tonight, and also check out my pro basketball previews for some of the games tonight.
