Duke Blue Devils commit Jahlil Okafor had a pretty fantastic weekend at City of Palms and his highlights on twitter are pretty nice.
Really enjoyed the tweet below from Carl Bleich who described Okafor as a “great player and a great kid”; could not agree more.
Was very impressed with how Jahlil Okafor conducted himself both on the court and off it tonight. Great player and a great kid. #CityofPalms

Okafor, the top ranked player in the 2014 college basketball recruiting class, will join the Blue Devils with fellow standouts Tyus Jones and Justise Winslow. The trio will make the Durham squad the number one ranked team in the country before the season begins so you can bet expectations will be at the highest level possible. Okafor has been used to that though since his freshman year of high school, and he even has a few gold medals earned during his summers that attest to his commitment to winning. Jones was his teamate on those Team USA squads, and that was when the initial spark of possibly playing together occurred. Should be a special basketball duo to keep track of and their chemistry on the court will be fantastic after another summer of playing together.
The Blue Devils coaching staff has been super supportive of these two, and they even attended the game in Minnesota recently. That is quite a nice gesture, especially considering that the players already committed and it shows a personal commitment that surely does not go unnoticed by other recruits out there.
