Duke Blue Devils commit Jahlil Okafor has looked impressive this season and a couple of times it has been against his future teammates. Much thanks to to D1Circuit for the tweet below for pointing this out.

Okafor played against Tyus Jones in Apple Valley (MN) a couple of weeks ago, and then the Whitney Young (IL) center played against Gryason Allen at the City of Palms Classic over the weekend. Okafor and Jones committed to the Blue Devils in November, and even played a little phone prank on the Duke coaching staff the night before the announcement. Coach K probably had a little mini-heartattack, but once he came to he responded that he was happy that the duo “trusted” him. That is touching from the winningest coach in college basketball history, and had the honor of taping a bit of him recently at the Champions Classic which was one of the most incredible nights of regular season college basketball in recent memory.

Three more Prep pieces coming your way tonight, and then will be off to wait for Santa by the chimney with a big steaming pile of chocolate chip cookies and maybe even a cold glass of whole milk on the side as well for him. Thanks so much for reading, and let me know on twitter if can write about anything in particular for the guys in the week before New Years. It has been a pleasure this year, and will try to do it even better in 2014.
