Prime Prep (TX) point guard Emmanuel Mudiay, the stud commit for the SMU Mustangs, had an impressive performance recently against La Lumiere, but unfortunately Prep came up just short in the most recent effort. Mudiay is a top ten ranked player in the 2014 college basketball recruiting class according to ESPN, and he will be a star for the Mustangs and likely help them win the conference. Much thanks to analyst Eric Bossi for the tweet below live from Mudiay’s recent game at the Tarkanian Classic, which earned him an all tournament team selection for an all around excellent showing.

Mustangs head coach Larry Brown developed an excellent bond with Mudiay during the recruiting process and their player-coach relationship should be healthy, because it seems to be built on mutual respect which is a really good place to start from. Mudiay shocked many analysts when he picked the Mustangs over many other blue blood programs, but what people do not realize is that the point guard has much larger goals than college basketball. College to him is basically an apprenticeship for the pros, and who better to prepare him for that than a former pro coach and basketball legend like Brown.

One more prep piece coming your way, and then in my next piece might even hit you with a little fortune cookie wisdom. Thanks so much for reading, and to all a good night on this beautiful Christmas Eve night. Hope you are all enjoying a nice night with your friends and families.
