Duke Blue Devils Commit Tyus Jones Calls Granite City Classic a “Great Tournament”
Tyus Jones and the Apple Valley Eagles play games Friday and Saturday in St. Cloud as part of The Breakdown Granite City Classic, which should be a great weekend of basketball.
“It’s a place I’ve been to the past few years, but unfortunately, I’ve been hurt two of the three years we’ve been there,” said the defending state champion to the St. Cloud Times. “It’s always a great tournament. The past four years, it’s been a great tournament with a lot of good teams.”

Jones will be going after a second state title this spring, and if he gets that done then he is definitely in the discussion for player of the year. Although his future teammate Jahlil Okafor probably has the inside track on most of those so far, but there is still a lot of basketball left to play.
That is all for today, but will leave you with a little fortune cookie wisdom about why more music in your life is never a bad thing.
“Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything”- Plato
