Duke Blue Devils Commit Tyus Jones Showing Great Leadership For Apple Valley This Season
Duke Blue Devils commit Tyus Jones has been operating the point guard position in a smooth way for Apple Valley (MN) this season, and he appears totally locked in on getting them back to the state championship game. He plays at the Granite City Classic tonight, which found out thanks to the Saint Cloud Times piece below.

Jones missed this game two out of the last three years, and he is quite glad to be able to not only attend this year but also to get to play.
“It’s a place I’ve been to the past few years, but unfortunately, I’ve been hurt two of the three years we’ve been there,” said Jones to the St. Cloud Times. “It’s always a great tournament. The past four years, it’s been a great tournament with a lot of good teams. It’s a lot of fun. It’s run very, very well. It’s always a blast to get away and go some place for Christmas break. I’m looking forward to it.”
Will be looking forward to hearing about how Jones plays here at Prep, and it definitely would not surprise me to see him reach about 25 points and ten assists if not more. He seems to score 30 as easily as the rest of us breathe. Got a couple more prep pieces coming your way today, and then you might want to keep an eye out for basketball previews later on as well. Thanks as always.
