Kansas Jayhawks Commit Cliff Alexander Rocking the Rims at the Pontiac Holiday Tournament

Dave Daniels- Rant Sports

Kansas Jayhawks commit Cliff Alexander crushed the rims at day one of the Pontiac Holiday tournament, and much love to Iowa Elites for the twitter mention as well which drew my eye to the highlights below.

There should be a lot more to come from this tournament, and something tells me that much of it will look predictably amazing. This is a young man with a body that might be ready for pro basketball already, and if he can continue to get his fundamentals tight, then Whitney Young (IL) center Jahlil Okafor might have a pretty tough obstacle when it comes to winning the Illinois state title this season. Definitely something to keep an eye on as the season continues, and definitely hoping here that those two meet in a postseason playoff game this season.

The highlight reel above is a lot of Alexander either dunking mercilessly on helpless defenders or blocking their shot off the backboard as they stare up into the air in disbelief. Head coach Bill Self has to love what he has seen in Alexander’s senior year of play so far, and it is a shame we will never get to see Alexander play with forward Andrew Wiggins. In any case, it appears the fallout from hat-gate is over, and the talented forward has moved on with his life. That is quite wise on his part and here at Rant Sports Prep we will greatly enjoy much more of Alexander’s play in the coming year. Thanks so much for reading and much more to come today.
