Jahlil Okafor’s Whitney Young squad is kind of whimpering out of the gate; it is through no fault of the Duke Blue Devils commit, but if they stay this sloppy going into the playoffs then they could get nipped by Cliff Alexander and Curie. Okafor is getting double-teamed on virtually every play, and making crisp passes on time when that happens as well.
Much thanks to the tweet below, and it appears David Crisp’s 33 points were the main cause of the Dolphins’ downfall.
The players of the game are Jahlil Okafor from Whitney Young with 28 points and David Crisp from Rainier Beach with 33 points. #LSI

Okafor manage to score 28 for the Dolphins, but in this one against Rainier Beach it just was not quite enough. Paul White has looked impressive to me as well in the early season, and the Georgetown Hoyas commit will endear himself to many DC basketball fans next season. Might even try to catch a Hoyas game in the next season or two if happen to be in the DMV area for the Holidays or anything like that.
Okafor committed to the Blue Devils in November along with the top ranked point guard in the class Tyus Jones, and together they will make the Cameron Crazies do quite a lot of hopping next season.
Couple more Prep pieces coming at you, and then be sure to check out my pro basketball previews as well. Thanks for stopping by, and if you are feeling down listen to “The Man” by Aloe Blacc. Confidence builder.
