Duke Blue Devils Commit Tyus Jones Says Granite Classic Was a “Great Atmosphere”

Tyus Jones High School Basketball: Nike Global Challenge

Tyus Jones recently notched two victories at the Granite City Class, and the point guard liked the feeling in the outdoors

“It was fun,” the point guard said to the St. Cloud Times. “It was a great atmosphere with a lot of fans. We knew going in that St. Cloud supports basketball no matter what. Seeing all the people there was a lot of fun.”

The defending state Class 4A champions look like they are on the path to repeat, and if you missed Jones’ stat lines then they insane. In game one, he put up 34 points and 16 assists, and those are only two of the categories.

Jones will be heading to Durham next season, where he will make a lot of stock brokers turn their heads. The skill of this young man is not to be understated, and it is something that he dedicated himself to at a quite early age in order to get here today. His services will be appreciated by the Cameron Crazies, that is for sure, and in any case have to keep an eye on how they fare this year.

Two more Preppies coming at you tomorrow, and then will try to get the early morning grind moving again.
