Whitney Young Holds SMU Commit Emmanuel Mudiay to Nine First Half Points in Victory

SMU

USA TODAY Sports- Troy Babbitt

In the recent match against Prime Prep (TX), Whitney Young (IL) and Jahlil Okafor were able to hold point guard Emmanuel Mudiay to nine first half points.

Mudiay committed to the SMU Mustangs last summer to the surprise of many, and he will be a dynamic player under head coach Larry Brown. Would honestly not be shocked if they won the conference in his freshman season.

Okafor committed to the Duke Blue Devils in November, along with Tyus Jones who is also a top five player in the 2014 college basketball recruiting class. This high school season is shaping up to be a special one, and it should conclude with quite an exciting NHSI in April. The only thing left to determine is what teams will end up being invited, which is still unfortunately at times an uneven selection of teams just based on the states that participate at this point. Here is hoping that it is in Bethesda, because then would be able to cover it for all of my lovely readers.

As always, some fortune cookie wisdom for the heart.
