Fran Fraschilla was at the Whitney Young (IL) and Prime Prep (TX) game Saturday night, and he offered his thoughts about the action on twitter.

Jahlil Okafor’s squad ended up coming out on top, and his teammate Paul White played quite well in this one as well. Point guard Emmanuel Mudiay could not quite get his rhythm in the first half, and that is what ultimately cost Prime Prep. He surprisingly committed to the SMU Mustangs, but he will be close friends with head coach Larry Brown by the end of his time there. Okafor is committed to the Duke Blue Devils, and his freshman season will be in a much larger spotlight than Mudiay. They will likely get to play each other again at the next level though, and if not then maybe one day they will meet as professionals. Stranger things have definitely happened. For Okafor the biggest goal for his season is probably winning a state title, and for Mudiay it is getting back to and winning the National High School Invitational. Fun year of basketball y’all. Stay tuned.
Got one more Prep piece coming your way today, and also excited to throw a lot of interesting football content your way in the next month. Thanks for reading.
