Karl Towns Jr. Calls Kentucky Wildcats Head Coach John Calipari “A Great Human Being”
Kentucky Wildcats head coach John Calipari landed big time recruit Karl Towns Jr. last winter, and it seems like it was only yesterday. The 7 footer has quite an interesting opinion on his future head coach recently though, and thought you might be intrigued.
“Loud,” Towns said to Sporting News was the first thing that came to mind about Calipari. “I mean, like he told me my first day with the Dominican team, ‘I’m not screaming at you because I’m mad, I’m screaming at you because I’m Italian.’ Coach Cal is such a great coach and such a great guy and a great human being. I’m just blessed I was given the chance to be his little apprentice and learn under him for these years.”
Towns believes that the Wildcats class he is a part of will be able to make special things happen; that remains to be seen, but Calipari certainly is doing a great recruiting job in recent years. Towns is a seven footer, so the head coach will certainly have quite a bit of fun honing the young man’s game for the better.
One more Prep piece coming at you tonight, and then we just might try to get the Recording Studio/Hustle Room at the casa up and running. Will keep you all posted on this, because may end up doing a podcast down the line if the fates allow. Thanks as always.
