Duke Blue Devils Commit Tyus Jones Named to Nike Hoop Summit Team

Tyus Jones NCAA Basketball: Michigan State at Minnesota

Duke Blue Devils commit Tyus Jones was recently named to the Nike Hoop Summit team, and he will be joined by a couple other future college teammates. Center Jahlil Okafor and forward Justise Winslow were both named to the squad as well, so it will be a good night for Blue Devil fans to get a sneak peak of the future.

Jones is the top ranked point guard in the class according to most outlets, but have him ranked pretty closely to Emmanuel Mudiay until can see a bit more game tape.

Do not expect this news to change the way Jones’ approacheds his senior season, and if all goes to plan then he should have another state title on his resume by the end of the year. Will keep a close eye on him here at Rant Sports Prep, and also if his package recruiting deal partner Okafor throws up any other huge stat lines will try to stay on the ball as well. The duo should have pretty instant chemistry, because they have already played together for a few different summers and it would be shocking to me if the Blue Devils were not the preseason number one ranked team.

That is all for today, but thanks as always for reading. Will try to keep the train rolling tomorrow, and might have some interesting news next week for y’all so stay tuned. Also, will have plenty of pro basketball previews tomorrow for any fans out there.
