Duke Blue Devils Commit PG Tyus Jones Drops 40 Points on Prior Lake
Tyus Jones was at it again a couple nights ago, and seem to have lost track of the number of times the point guard has scored 40 points in a game this season.
Duke signee Tyus Jones had 40 points as Apple Valley beat Prior Lake 93-67. Sophomore Brock Bertam had 13 and Dennis Austin added ten.

The Duke Blue Devils commit has been making national waves this year, and it almost feels like him winning Mr. Basketball for the state of Minnesota will only be a formality from here on out. The young Apple Valley (MN) floor general’s effort against Prior Lake was definitely enough to secure the victory, and the Golden Eagles look to be on form for another state title.
Jones was a package recruiting deal with the top ranked player in the class, Jahlil Okafor; the two players will both be in consideration for many of the national player of the year awards when the season ends. When the two matched up against each other in December it was quite a battle and Okafor came out on top, but something tells me that Jones is glad to have the center on his squad when it comes to college basketball. Well, we just keep getting closer to that becoming a reality; thanks as always and keep an eye out for a piece on one of Okafor’s recent opponents.
