Duke Blue Devils Commit Tyus Jones Breaks Apple Valley’s Three Point School Record

Tyus Jones NCAA Basketball: Michigan State at Minnesota

Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports

Tyus Jones has been shattering records all over the place, but his latest was quite impressive. Nine three pointers in a game is a total that should not be dismissed and much thanks to Apple Valley Hoops for the alert to this.

Jones committed to the Duke Blue Devils in November along with the top ranked center in the class, Jahlil Okafor, and the pair should make the squad next season’s preseason favorite to go all the way. Obviously, a lot of that will depend on who returns to school, but even if Jabari Parker leaves the Blue Devils would probably still be the preseason number one.

Jones and Okafor both got some nice news today when they were named the McDonald’s All American team, which was definitely an expected honor for the two. That one will be played at the United Center in April and might even try to make it out for a couple of the practices if the fates smile upon us here at Rant Sports Prep in the coming weeks.

All for Prep today, but there has been a lot of pro basketball madnesss happening lately and will try to keep you all up to date on the latest rumblings.
