Duke Blue Devils Commit Tyus Jones’ Performance Against Lakeville South Shows True Perimeter Skill
Duke Blue Devils commit Tyus Jones has shown incredible touch from the perimeter this season, and he even broke his school record for three pointers recently. Much thanks to D1 Circuit for tweeting Jones’ stat line below, which resulted in a loss for Lakeville South.

My main reason for writing this piece was to highlight how Jones’ shooting will be used at the college level. Paired with Jahlil Okafor, there will be major spacing problems in Durham next season and that does not even cover Justise Winsolw who will be an excellent glue man for the Blue Devils.
Those three recruits will make them the preseason number one, and with Jones running the show it would not shock me to see him average around 15 points and seven assists per game. Maybe those numbers are a bit too high, but it would honestly not shock me to see him surpass them. In any case, will be keeping track of Jones’ shooting throughout the year and if he continues on the path he is on then many more records will be broken before the season is done. That would also likely result in a second state title for the Apple Valley guard, which would be an impressive accomplishment to hang your hat on.
Got one more Prep piece coming at you today, and then be sure to stop by tomorrow for even more Rant Sports’ goodness. Also, shout out to Jones’ younger brother Tre and here is hoping that his recovery goes well in the coming year.
