Duke Blue Devils Commit Tyus Jones Scores 23 in Win Over Eagan

Geoff Burke- USA TODAY Sports

Duke Blue Devils commit Tyus Jones showed off both his scoring and distributing ability in the latest win over Eagan, and much thanks to D1Circuit for the tweet below.

Jones is playing at another level this season, and it would honestly be surprising to me at this point if he does not secure a second state title. He also got some nice news lately with his selection to the McDonald’s All American team along with three future teammates. It will kind of feel like Cameron Indoor Stadium at the United Center and definitely looking forward to checking out the game.

Jahlil Okafor is actually not on the same team as Jones in the game either, so it will be interesting to see them match up as opponents right before they go through a season as teammates. Their bro-mance is definitely one of my top story lines to keep an eye on for the 2014-2015 college basketball season, and you can bet the Blue Devils will be ranked as the preseason number one. The humility of those two players is definitely something young players can learn from, and my DVR is buzzing in anticipation for ACC basketball next season.

Got another Prep piece coming at you today, and then be sure to check out a few pro basketball previews as well. Might even mention the forward Carmelo Anthony trade rumors for any ‘Melo fans out there who want to get an update on the situation. Stay classy out there San Diego.
