Duke Blue Devils Commit Tyus Jones Scores 25 In Win Against Eastview

Tyus Jones NCAA Basketball: Michigan State at Minnesota

Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports

Duke Blue Devils commit Tyus Jones recently helped Apple Valley to a win over Eastview, and found this out thanks to D1Circuit as always.

Jones committed to the Blue Devils in November, and things have been looking up ever since. He was named to the McDonald’s All American team (unsurprisingly), and many more All American team selections are sure to follow for the future Dukie. Kind of limping to the finish line here so going to put on a Bob Dylan record and think back to the old times. Alright, I’m better now. Mr. Tambourine Man if you are keeping track at home; such a great song.

Jones will attend Duke with his good friend Jahlil Okafor and together they will make the squad the preseason favorite to win a national title. It sounds crazy that that is the level of expectation for these two, but when you see their skill on the court it is clear that we are dealing with a couple of special players. The addition of Justise Winslow to the class did not hurt either.

One more Prep piece coming at you today, and then if you are still bored be sure to check out my basketball previews as well which include a betting line.

Watch HS Hoops Coach Headbutt Referee

There is absolutely no excuse for this to happen ever. During an argument about a call, Neshaminy (Pa.) high school basketball coach Jerry Devine decided it would be a good idea to headbutt the referee to prove his point. Devine was then ejected from the gym and could now face criminal charges for his actions as well as losing his teaching and coaching job.
