Duke Blue Devils Commit Jahlil Okafor Wants to Represent Chicago “In a Positive Way”
Duke Blue Devils commit Jahlil Okafor had some nice things to say lately about his McDonald’s All American game selection, and here is hoping that the center can always stay as hungry and humble as he is now. Much thanks to CSN Chicago for posting the tweet below, and if you are a fan of Okafor’s be sure to check it out.

The Blue Devils are certainly getting a special player, and the combination of him and Tyus Jones next season will make the Cameron Crazies bounce with joy for much of the season. If you did not check out the piece above, then here is an excerpt from it just to give you a taste.
“Just being a nominee was a big deal,” Okafor said to CSN. “But to be selected to the All-American Game, it’s just kind of surreal. And it’s just really humbling to be in the same limelight as some of those guys like Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Michael Jordan, all these amazing players that were once in my same shoes. I’ll be ready to go out in front of all the fans in Chicago and try to represent Chicago in a positive way.”
One more Prep piece could be coming your way later tonight, and then will hit you with some pro b-ball previews too if you brush your teeth. There is so much positivity that seems to come out of Okafor off the court, and on the court he appears to play with an abandon that goes beyond fearless… it is more like hellbent.
