Duke Blue Devils commit Tyus Jones has had a fantastic year of high school basketball, and when he committed back in November along with Jahlil Okafor it made the Cameron Crazies bounce with joy. Kyle Back was the first tweeter who I noticed mentioning the 1,000th assist and he put the number into fresh perspective as well.
Most people don't get 1000 points in their high school career but Tyus Jones has 1000 assists #greatfuture

Jones helped his team to win even more importantly, and the floor general poured in 26 points as well. Apple Valley (MN) certainly seems to be on their way to another state title, and Jones has been my pick for Mr. Basketball in the state for some time.

Jones and Okafor will make the Blue Devils runaway favorites next season, but even more fascinating to me will be what they do with the rest of their high school careers respectively. You can bet that will be keeping the barometer on both of them as the year progresses, and we will have to see who ends up having the stronger finish of the two.
Got one more Prep piece coming at you tonight, and then be sure to check out some pro basketball content over the All Star weekend as well. Thanks as always.
